Bite Copenhagen is at full speed

The international food fair is off to a flying start at Bella Center Copenhagen. And many great events are planned for Friday, so don’t forget to visit!

One of Thursday’s highlights is the Taste the World event where participants such as Danish Minister for Environment and Food Jakob Ellemann-Jensen and company leaders from Google Foods, Carlsberg Group, Alibaba and more will attend. The delegation will also see and taste their way through the many great food solutions bringing exhibitors closer to the decision-makers.

Join us and meet +160 exhibitors

Bite Copenhagen is buzzing with activities and good vibes, and you can still have your bite of the future of food when the fair continues Friday. Sign up as a visitor for free and meet +160 world class exhibitors.

One of them is the Danish chocolate brand Simply Chocolate producing classy chocolaty treats with a Scandinavian touch. And always from natural and certified sustainable ingredients. They are using Bite to meet food professionals as well as to test new ideas, according to Head of Public Relations Anna Ellegaard Buch:

“We are always developing on our products and at the moment, we are testing sustainable packaging which is 100% compostable. Environmental and social sustainability is key and our focus in on honest, fun and simple treats. We have brought some new products that were are excited to show off and welcome everyone to stop by for a bite.”

Chew on this!

Another exhibitor you can have a bite of (or chew at) is True Gum. A Danish startup trying to solve the problem of chewing gum being thrown in nature and in the streets. Conventional gum is usually made with synthetic rubber containing plastic and therefore adding to plastic pollution. But True Gum has found a solution, co-founder Morten Ebdrup explains:

“We make gum from all-natural ingredients and use sustainable rubber from the Sapodilla tree. The gum is made with natural flavors and is hand-cut besides being biodegradable, which eliminates the expensive and disgusting problem of removing chewing gum from the streets. We are looking forward to meeting visitors and fellow exhibitors and letting them have a chew.”

Besides chocolate and chewing gum, there will be plenty of other treats for you to try when exploring the stands. For instance, if you are in need of something savory, you can taste organic Italian and Nordic appetizers from Restaurant Brace at stand 42.

Also, stop by the Taste & Digital – a mini exhibition where you can explore food literacy training among young people the smart and fun way, with virtual reality and many other interactive and digital activities.

Outstanding speakers

Besides exploring the many stands, we also invite you to hear 7 keynote speakers giving you new perspectives on everything from plant-based proteins to food waste, with exquisite speakers such as the founder of the Stop Wasting Food movement and TEDx speaker, Selina Juul. Meet her on stage on Friday from 3:25 PM.

And a world premiere!

We are also excited to present a world premiere! Sven Philipsen from Eachthing will showcase the first glimpse of Eachthing app at Bite Copenhagen, a breakthrough innovation that offers consumers new ways to communicate with (talk to) products and manufacturers.

Sven is named as one of the 25 most important Artificial Intelligence Influencers in the world and you can experience his Livespeak on stage on Friday from 1:30 PM.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to another inspiring day tomorrow!
